David Cooke

Manchester–based, Dave works free-lance in the voluntary sector on inter-cultural and global development issues. For instance, with community group Southern Voices he has helped develop and manage a project to explore the contribution of colonialism to the rise of Manchester’s cotton industry.

He taught for ten years in early post-colonial Zambia and Botswana, acted as an advisory teacher for eight years with Manchester Education Authority with responsibility for Peace Education and Citizenship, and was for twelve years Coordinator of Manchester’s Development Education Project. 

He is a Buddhist who enjoys long distance footpaths, communal living, cats and cricket.

Phil Clark

Phil was born, lives in the West Midlands. He is a freelance cameraman and editor working mainly on news, current affairs and documentaries for both the BBC, ITV and Sky. He is also the official cameraman for CIC, helping the students to film and produce their DVD as part of the media module.
